  • Abstract
    A novel fiber laser, doped with PbSe quantum dots but not usual ytterbium ions, is presented in this paper. The laser power is numerically simulated. Compared with the usual ytterbium-doped fiber laser, the simulated quantum-doped fiber laser has a larger laser power, a shorter saturated fiber length and a higher gain.
