The issue is devoted to writing across the curriculum in engineering courses, guest edited by Steven Yourq Director of Communication in Engineering Program, Cornell. The special issue offers strategies for working with written communication in the classroom, and on the web, as well as administrative issues and program design and development. The focus is on the perspective of the writing program director dealing with the particular needs of engineering programs, but presents histories of writing programs and tested solutions to problems that have grown out of collaborations with engineers.
