Abstract
We describe an algorithm for fish farm profit optimization which is part of a complex automation system used in intensive fish culture. The fish farm optimal production problem is solved on a finite receding control horizon using the model-based predictive controller. The problem itself is a linear dynamic control problem subject to non-convex constraints and is coped with using a heuristic approach. The entire control system has been installed at a pilot fish farm.
