Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.

This paper starts to investigate GIS professional market, summarizes the demand departments and characteristics of GIS professional, and classifies GIS professional according to market demand. It also analyzes the knowledge structure and ability and quality which GIS professional should have, and probes into the application-oriented training scheme of GIS professional from three aspects of curriculum system, education resources construction and distinctive practice program, trying to provide a new mode for GIS professional training.
