Abstract :
In telecommunication systems (by hertzian wave or circular waveguide) the transmitted signals are liable to important modifications due particularly to the variation of the group delay introduced by the transmission support and the equipments. It is therefore necessary in order to process and exploit the signal in good conditions, to use group delay equalizers. The dispersive properties of magnetostatic surface waves propagating in magnetic thin films allow the conception of a new generation of tunable group delay equalizers with a great flexibility of use. The theoretical analysis of propagation modes and especially of magnetostatic surface modes in a YIG thin film has been carried out. The methods and means allowing the characterization of films from the stand point of their mechanical, crystallographic and magnetic properties were defined and established. Lastly, experimental check ups were carried out and led to the realization of models whose electric characteristics are presented.
