At present, scholars have increasingly recognized a high-quality, professional management team it´s very important for the development of university, but to the problem that how to promote the professionalization of university management team, creative solutions still lack. This paper points out that the establishment of university administrators´ competency model is an effective way to promote the professionalization of university management, and outlines the quality characteristics of university administrators´ from the two aspects of general competencies and core competencies. Therefore, it can provide valuable reference for our selection, recruitment and evaluation for college management staff.
