Abstract :
This paper introduces a modified electromagnetic topological (EMI) scheme for aperture-cable interaction simulation. By introducing modular junctions, the modified simulation scheme substitutes the multi-step computational process presented earlier without ignoring backscattering interactions. This method also permits for modifications in the substructural level without re-simulating the entire system. The results of the modified simulation scheme have been validated through experiments for aperture transmission and the induced currents on the cable near the aperture. The simulated and measured field and currents resulted in good agreement with each other.
