Abstract :
In this paper, a weighted tuning method of a PI speed controller for induction motor is presented, based on Ziegler-Nichols (Z-N) tuning formula. The method improves the problem of parameter choice, reduces the over shoot and is simple as Z-N. The control system of induction motor drive is based on direct torque control. Results of simulation show the Weighted PI controller is actually better than traditional one´s.
