Abstract
A novel formulation of the multiple reference adaptive noise cancellation (MRANC) filter is developed for enhancement of voice communications systems (e.g. vocoders, etc.) operating in multiple acoustic noise source environments. The reference signals are decoupled producing a new set of reference signals. Consequently, the MRANC has improved convergence speed and noise reduction performance. Quantitative test results from environments are presented and discussed
