Abstract :
This paper presents a software tool that allows the detection, localization and classification of PQ events based on Wavelet Transform and Support Vector Machine algorithms. First the theoretical concepts are detailed, and then techniques based on the Wavelet Transform to detect PQ events are developed. Then, classification methods based on Support Vector Machines are presented in order to classify different events automatically. Finally, the software performance is tested using several power quality events obtained from the field.
