Abstract :
Land consolidation of rural residential areas is an important step for dynamic equilibrium of the total cultivated land. As a case of Jiayu county in Hubei province, an evaluation model of land consolidation potential was established based on 3 factors of policy index, households´ willingness and spatial distribution, analyzed the realistic potential of land consolidation in consolidating areas and planning areas. By spatial analysis of GIS, developed a mathematical model which including factors of slopes, farming radius, continuation degrees, adjacencies and rates to calculate the potential supply of cultivated land. The results showed that the potential supply of cultivated land in Jiayu was 228.56hm2 from 2007 to 2020 and increasing coefficients of cultivated land were divided into 3 levels, which properly reflected the differences of spatial distribution and construction. It can offer a new idea for evaluating the potential supply of cultivated land under the land consolidation of rural residential areas.
