Abstract :
Disclosed information can be divided into financial and non-financial ones. The transparency of information from listed banks should be higher than that from general public companies. The proportion of non-financial information is constantly increasing in company reports. It is difficult to quantify because of the description of non-financial information. After analyzing the non-financial disclosure system of general enterprises and the applicable disclosure norms of banks, the author tries to establish the system in view of non-financial information disclosure for listed banks. Through application of the system, the author measures the annual reports´ disclose level of China´s listed banks from 2003 to 2008, making further analysis on the result. In recent years, the overall level of the disclosure of non-financial information has been improving, and the coverage of items and the depth of disclosure have also been enhanced.
