Abstract
Poly(2-vinyl-3-substituted carbazole) (PVSK) electrophotographic photoconductor doped with 2,4,5-trisubstituted oxazole (TSO) was prepared. The relationship between the electron levels of various component molecules and electrophotographic sensitivity were studied. It is found that the HMO method is suitable for calculating the electron levels of both aromatic side groups in PVSK and TSO. The higher the epsilon /sub HO/ level of PVSK, the better the sensitizing mechanism deduced, the relative electron levels between the excited state of TSO and the ground state of PVSK are the main factors responsible for the sensitivity.<>
