Abstract :
In this work a electro-optical tracking system adapted for filming rocket launches is presented. The full system is described and the two specialized stages developed to withstand the difficulties of this particular application are detailed. The first stage is responsible for automatic target detection, this step is implemented and tested. The second stage is a predictive trajectory control with Kalman filter, this step is implemented and verified by simulations with real trajectory data. Results are presented and discussed, future research lines are proposed.
