Abstract :
Langmuir monolayer of lipid molecules on LaCl3 solutions was investigated by sum-frequency vibrational spectroscopy. Adsorption of La3+ cation on lipid headgroups increased with higher LaCl3 concentration, finally overcompensating negative charges of the lipid headgroups.
