Abstract :
After the success of Pehuensat I, the nanosatellite launched by National University of Comahue (UNCO), a new project has emerged and with it new challenges. The Pehuensat II, successor to the former, will have a much more ambitious mission including the transmission of satellite imagery which require a higher transmission rate and therefore will require an increase in the frequency band. Because of this, the link budget and antenna design are essential to ensure the reliability of the communication in the short time of visibility of LEO satellites. Initial investigations are presented in this paper.
