Abstract :
The method of using genetic algorithm to estimate parameters of natural disaster predicting model is given. Two long-term predicting models of agricultural area suffering from natural disaster are set up by using this method in Shandong Province. The models include one and two periodic components respectively. The research shows that genetic algorithm can be used to estimate parameters of complex predicting model of natural disaster. And the method is able to seek out the optimum model in theory.
