Abstract
This work presents an error control scheme for network coding under an adversarial error model. The scheme relies on the assumption that the transmitter and receiver share a key that is secret from the adversary. The scheme can achieve a rate that is significantly higher than what can be achieved without a shared key. Moreover, differently from previous key-based approaches, the proposed scheme does not require the field size to be arbitrarily large. The scheme is practical, conceptually simple, and compatible with both coherent and random network coding.
