Abstract :
Oil production is seriously effected by formation damages in many processes of reservoir development. In recent years, ultrasonic stimulation method has been applied to relieve formation damage and achieved significant success in field tests. In order to further the studies of the mechanism of ultrasonic stimulation on damage relieving, a new setup was designed to study the effect of ultrasonic stimulation on damage relieving. The parameters including ultrasonic power, treating time and damaged depth on treating results of damage relieving were optimized. Experiments show that ultrasonic stimulation can relieve formation damage greatly, the larger the ultrasonic wave power and treating time, the greater the PRF. The permeability recovery factor reduces with the damaged depth. For a certain treating parameters of ultrasonic waves, when the damaged depth is longer than than of damage relieving dapth, the PRF will be lower. The effect values from greatest to lowest are damaged depth, power and treating time.
