Abstract :
This paper presents experimental results of 10 kV switching by means of a vacuum switch with negative electron affinity of diamond PIN electron emitters at RT. A model for such vacuum switch with an electron emitter proves a principle of vacuum switches over 100 kV with an efficiency beyond 99.9%.
