Abstract
Digital convergence has received increasing attention in recent years due to innovations of information technology, broadband usage of mobile communications, and Internet services. There are no distinguishable differences among operators of fixed-lines, mobile, or cable TV. In the current telecommunications market, companies provide more than one service or product, as the industry becomes more complex and offers new opportunities. This paper focuses on business strategies for digital convergence in Taiwan, and conducts interviews to analyze Taiwan´s telecommunication industry and competitive environment in order to obtain key success factors; and in addition, uses a case study of the Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd. to explore business strategies of future digital convergence.
