Abstract
Closed-form asymptotic expressions are developed to assess the error rate performances of equal gain combining and selection combining operating over N-branch arbitrarily correlated Rician fading channels at large values of signal-to-noise ratio. The compact solutions reveal explanations for counter-intuitive phenomena on correlated Rician fading channels reported by other researchers.
