  • Abstract
Mathematical morphology is a recently developed the typical nonlinear image processing and analysis theory. Its development is receiving more and more attention, this paper systematically introduces the application of mathematical morphological operator in power fault signal detection. This paper expounds the basic theory of mathematical morphology, morphological operator tectonic filters and morphological signal singularity detection, etc. The simulation results show that the structural elements in the choice of appropriate conditions, the mathematical morphology operators not only have excellent filter capability for various kinds of noises, but also the testing of abrupt signals has several merits, such as quick speed, low delay and easy to distinguish ,etc .
