Abstract
This paper proposes a framework for understanding the integration of design and digital technologies in architectural practice and academia. A compelling narrative is developed based on "contextual inquiries" and "exploratory observations" of the six-year research. The model is devised to submerge the reader into understanding not only how we use the technology, but also how we consume it. Two parallel stories are presented. Practice has "consumed" the technology to modernize its skills, and later revamp their design-build work processes. An emerging portion of academia is presenting a broader critique. Classrooms are computerized in an attempt to expand the realm of architectural design into the various spatial dimensions of digital phenomena
