Abstract :
Global Terrestrial Gross Primary Production (GPP), Respiration, and Net Primary Production (NPP) are three crucial fluxes of the terrestrial carbon cycle. By using 1999 one degree multiply one degree satellite data and GPP and NPP National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Moderate-Resolution Imaging Spectro radiometer (MODIS) Land Algorithm, the terrestrial GPP, Respiration and NPP were modeled at a global level. Then the GPP, Respiration, and NPP were analyzed in the following four aspects: 1) the two hemisphere differences in GPP and NPP production; 2) different input variable influence on GPP and NPP; 3) spatial distribution and temporal development on GPP an NPP; 4) eleven plant classes’ different ability on GPP and NPP.
