Abstract :
We present a system of help to the conception, creation and visualization in 3D of operation rooms in hospitals using the virtual reality. According to the type of surgery exercised, we define a better adapted solution to choose and to position surgical lights. This system can generate automatically an operating room in 3D while seizing the geometric measurements directly via a graphic interface. With a complete database, we can integrate the different elements present in the room (operating tables, surgical lights, equipment, etc.). Finally, it is possible to visualize the result via a virtual reality interface or to generate video animation via rendering
