Abstract :
We propose a multiresolution structure for rendering complex objects. The proposed method simplifies complex objects with various color or texture images. We propose a method to make a texture map for the multiresolution model. Our method generates a texture map that can be mapped to the whole level-of-detail in the multiresolution model. The texture map minimizes distortion in the images and it also helps to minimize errors caused by geometric simplification. Furthermore we also propose a multiresolution texture structure to manage texture distortion and texture resolution in a multiresolution manner. The proposed multiresolution structure can manipulate different details for geometry and textures. It can be used in real-time rendering for limited texture and geometric rendering power
