Abstract
The authors propose a nonlinear estimator for detecting instantaneous state and determining up-to-date parameters of a synchronous generator. Simulation results illustrate the performance of this predictor corrector estimator (PCE) with different weighting matrices. With a proper choice of the weighting matrix Q, the PCE gives excellent results, converging globally.<>
