Abstract :
According to (M, N) measuring model, a new wireless streaming media loss differentiation algorithm (WLDA) is proposed. And then, a new Wireless TCP-Friendly Rate Congestion Control (WTFRCC) is designed. By theory analysis, the WLDA algorithm can differentiate correctly congestion losses and wireless error losses, it avoids misjudging. By validation with simulation, WLDA can differentiate correctly congestion losses and wireless error losses, WTFRCC can make the effective throughput and the utility of wireless bandwidth maintaining at high level, it guarantees the transmission quality of streaming media, and maintains the TCP friendliness, it is a good congestion control mechanism for wireless streaming media.
