Abstract :
We present a fully integrated CMOS sensor interface. The architecture is highly programmable, allowing a wide range of potential automotive and industrial applications. The interface circuit has been fabricated in a high-voltage CMOS process including on-chip voltage regulation to minimize the number of external components required and thus to reduce cost. The silicon area of the interface is 6.9 mm2 (including pads). As an application example, the circuit has been employed for contact- less angle measurement, leading to maximum errors after calibration of plusmn0.5deg in an angular range exceeding 100deg.
