Annual Comparative Analysis on the Comprehensive Development of China National Hi-Tech Zones Based on the Factor Analysis Method

Based on the data from 2008 China Torch Statistical Yearbook and 2009 China Torch Statistical Yearbook, this paper adopts factor analysis method to evaluate the comprehensive development of China national hi-tech zones in 2008. And then this paper makes a comparative analysis between the evaluation result in 2008 and that in 2007. The results show that the imbalanced development of China national high-tech zones will still exist in a certain period of time. However, the basic pattern has been formed. Moreover, the economic development of national high-tech zones whose economic foundations are relatively weak is more vulnerable to economic fluctuations; Industrialization and internationalization is one of the key factors to raise the economic development level of high-tech zones.
