Abstract :
The common circuits for power combining are discussed in comparison to the ideal structure. From this discussion, design criteria for multi-device oscillators arise. The ideal circuit can be approached by utilizing evanescent mode resonators. Two realizations are described: a medium Q and a low Q oscillator with up to 8 Impatt diodes working in X-band.
