Abstract
In this paper, we present an approach for robust supervisory control of discrete event systems. In the proposed approach, we assume that the current state is known only to be within a nonempty subset of the system states. We extend the definition of discrete event system controllability to take into account such uncertainty about the current state. We show that if the system behavior can be traced within the uncertainty set then an optimal non-blocking supervisor can be constructed for the system based on the optimal supervisor under full observation
