Abstract :
This paper presents a quadratic-shaped reflector antenna by using backscattering technique useful for point-to- multipoint communications to achieve efficient coverage of service areas on the earth for low-earth orbit satellite or inside very large hall for WLAN access point. Physical optics (PO) is used to analyze the radiation pattern of proposed reflector antenna and verified with experimental result. The maximum gain and HPBW was measured in satisfactory agreement with the numerical predictions provided by the PO.
