Abstract
A periodic structure consisting of an azimuthally magnitesed ferrite rod that fills totally the loading irises of a corrugated cylindrical waveguide is theoretic - and numerically, analised with respect to the propagation of the TE01 mode. Computed values of the differential phase shift of the corrugated and an, otherwise, smooth walled structure are compared giving advantage to the former. Attenuation due to losses in the ferrite have been evaluated and the figures of merit of both structures are displayed. The theoretical results obtained show some agreement with previously published experimental results.
