Abstract
The performance of the Wigner and Choi-Williams (see IEEE Trans. ASSP, vol.37, 1989) distributions as a time-frequency detector of a low Doppler target-return signal, embedded in reverberation is investigated. Such a problem is common in active sonar. The comparison of performance is based on Monte Carlo simulations
