Abstract :
Optical signal processing applications employing amplitude, phase and polarization filtering are discussed for implementations using silica-on-silicon planar waveguides. Applications include tunable chromatic dispersion compensators, polarization control and monitoring, PMD emulation and compensation, and ultra-narrowband filtering.
