Abstract :
Mode-Matching technique is applied to the analysis of coupling between TE01δ -resonators, which are the key parameter for the TE01δ - Mode bandpass filter design. Combination of the mode matching technique and a novel equivalent circuit for coupling calculation provides a technique which rigorously takes into account finite iris thickness, angular offset of the two coupling irises and higher order mode interactions between resonators, while overcoming the typical limitations of the approximate models. As an application of the analysis; a filter design example is demonstrated and validity of the approach is verified. Typical coupling curves, which are of practical importance in TE01δ mode filter design are presented.
