Abstract :
The analytical and experimental results of the behaviour of dielectric sphere loaded corrugated conical horn is discussed. Scattering theory is used to obtain mathematical expressions of gain and far-zone fields. The directivity is improved by dielectric sphere loading and is with reduced sidelobes. It is noticed that the beamwidth of the system varies with the dielectric sphere diameter.
