Abstract
This paper discusses a new theoretical method for suppressing transients in phase-compensated continuous-time filters. Using the compensated low-pass Chebyshcv filter, we introduce time-varying parameters to its structure for the purpose of the minimization of the transient that was lengthened because of the group delay compensation. The paper also discusses the stability conditions of the designed filters, and the concept of the proposed filters work in the continuous running mode. Results verifying the effectiveness of the proposed approach are presented and compared to the traditional filters.
