Abstract :
A novel adaptation scheme is proposed to robustly cancel line echoes in complicated phone call environment. where noise interference, frequent double talk and echo path change occur from time to time. The scheme combines the modified Geigel algorithm with a new dynamic, architecture. The modified Geigel takes noise interference into account. When combined with the new dynamic control mechanism, the approach can not only avoid divergence during double talk, but also ensure fastest convergence if echo path changes suddenly. G.168 test results show that the proposed approach actually achieves stable and quite impressive performance such a complicated phone call environment
