Abstract :
Voltage flicker measurement methods become significantly important nowadays with increasing uses of the sensitive loads. Flicker Power algorithm has been found to be acceptable techniques for determining the flicker source direction in power system since it construction follow the IEEE flickermeter standard. However, these Flicker Power algorithm techniques are facing the deficiency in term of demodulation method. In this paper, the flicker power algorithm based on Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) demodulation method is proposed to overcome such deficiency. The frequency domain approach has been employed as it capable to removed undesired sideband frequency spectrum. It is thus allow the flicker source location and direction at different monitoring point (M) to be determined correctly.
