Abstract
This paper presents the comparative studies between hybrid fuzzy plus PID with different membership function and PID controller. The purposed in designing controller is to regulate the steam temperature to the operating point in order to achieve some objectives such as stability, transient performances and optimizes the economic function. The steam temperature has the great impact on the quality of the oils. The results show that HFPID using 49 rules produced better performances since provides fast transient response and small steady state error. It´s pushes the output to attain steady state much faster with a small error. Consequently, it will significantly reduce the power consumption.
