  • Abstract
New developments of the microprocessor controlled crystal oscillator (MCXO) include a factor-of-four size reduction, the addition of a second direct digital synthesizer (DDS) for frequency flexibility, development of new, smaller master crystals, and a major improvement of the output spectrum. The new design retains the basic features of the MCXO-a frequency temperature stability specification of +/- 3E-8, over -55 to +85 degrees centigrade, low power and fast warm-up time
