Abstract :
This paper details a synthesis procedure suitable for realisation in a number of microwave media, and which allows attenuation poles to be placed on one side of the passband of a filter. This greatly increases the selectivity of the device on that side of the passband. An example is given of a sixth degree waveguide filter with two extracted poles on the upper side of the passband.
