Abstract
This paper is a report on the features and performances of the digital radio systems using 16QAM and 8PSK developed for large capacity trunking systems. A study on interference is one of the topics in this paper. Digital to digital and digital to analog interferences are discussed on the basis of measured performances. Another topic dealt with concerns the outage characteristic due to multipath distortions. Improvements obtained by the use of adaptive equalizers are presented for the 16QAM systems and followed by predicting the outage probability for the 2500 Km long-haul system.
