Abstract
A novel simple realization of the directional filter using dielectric resonators suspended between two single microstrip lines has been described. The structure of the proposed filter allows easy coupling adjustment and frequency tuning by means of changing the distance between the two microstrip lines being coupled via a dielectric resonator. A simplified method to determine the resonant frequency of the filter is given. Some results obtained using the temperature compensated dielectric resonators within the X-band frequency are presented.
