Abstract :
A neurocontroller for rectifier in HVDC transmission system, using BP artificial neural networks, is presented in this paper. And the action dependent Adaptive Critic Designs (ADHDP), a member of the adaptive critic designs family is used for the design of this rectifier neurocontroller. Simulation for HVDC system model with proposed neurocontroller and conventional PID controller were carried out in MATLAB/Simulink environment. Simulation results show that this neurocontroller provides nonlinear optimal control with better performance compared to the conventional PID controller.
