Abstract :
With the rapid development of internet and communication technologies, mobile computing has become a main computational method nowadays, and geographic information system based on mobile computing is the extension of mobile computing in the spatial information field. It can be forecasted that Mobile GIS will become the next luminescent point of GIS industry. This paper set forth the concept of mobile GIS comparing with traditional GIS, analyzed the frame structure of mobile GIS, and discussed the key technologies of Mobile GIS, including wireless communication technology, WAP technology, mobile database technology, mobile geographical information expression technology and mobile location solution.
