Abstract
Nowadays Communication through video conferences is becoming a more popular method for individual users, home offices and many businesses since they have been convinced to use it to decrease travel expenses and reduce the gaps of bridge communication, which have been created by distance. Security is one of the most important issues that faces networks. The networks could be vulnerable to be attacked at any time. DoS and DDoS attacks are the most familiar type of network attacks which affect the data transmission. A firewall is one of the ways that is used to prevent network attacks, but sets the firewall environment to facilitate the use of video conferences in a normal way is the proposal of this paper, in addition to comparing the Skype and Google Talk software application with each firewall set by evaluating quality image transmission, PSNR and packet loss.
